The Red Deer Regional Health Center Obstetrical Operating Rooms encompassed the redevelopment of the existing atrium and Maternal Newborn Department. The renovation included adding a new floor system within the 3 story atrium space to create 2 new operating rooms, 3 recovery bays, clean and soiled holding rooms and a housekeeping room. The new space was mechanically serviced by new air handling units installed in the mechanical penthouse. The existing medical gas system was expanded into this area. All mechanical and electrical work were tied into the existing Building Maintenance System.
